Iv never ever cooked pork, but I now have a pork joint waiting to go in the slow cooker!
Would you add veg to flavour it or just leave it?

What cut is it?

I tend to rub a spice mix on mine and end up with pulled pork. You need shoulder though.

Someone here suggested a few tablespoons of apple juice which I did yesterday and it worked really well - very tasty. At other times I rub some kind of mix as Boredof suggests. I tend to use Patak's paste for a nice curry version

Either make pulled pork- I just use some bottled BBQ sauce and leave the lid on for 8 hours, or add a mug of cider and leave it alone for the same amount of time. Either way slow cookers and pork were made for each other. It will be so tender.
