Devilled eggs!

I'm WFH as YD is poorly. Off her food and headachey. In an attempt to tempt her I made 'devilled eggs': mashed the yolks with mayonnaise, a little Worcester sauce and a tiny dab of English mustard, salt and pepper.

Well it worked. She ate all three eggs (6 halves) so although disappointed there's none left for me I'm glad there's something new she'll eat. I licked the last bit out of the bowl and the mix isn't as I remembered it from my (70s) youth. So what is different?

Devilled eggs: if you ever make them what do you add? Thanks

I put tuna in mine. I mash the smallest tin tuna with a small amount of tomato puree and the egg yolks (I reserve some of the yolk to sprinkle on top) I season commercial mayonaise with a little salt, few drops olive oil and lemon juice. I put some of the mayonaise on each egg half and crumble the saved egg yolks over the top. Serve chilled. Sometimes slice stuffed olives over the top

I always make these for DGC's parties and they're usually the first to go.(despite odd looks and mutterings about 1970's from some adults) Smile
