Does anyone have a cheap and easy recipe please? Trying to eat less meat and don't want to keep buying them when it's probably cheaper to make my own. Tia

The Jack Monroe ones are excellent: agirlcalledjack.com/2015/01/31/carrot-cumin-kidney-bean-burger-9p/ little bit crumbly though!

Oh and also these: vegandad.blogspot.co.uk/2009/02/crispy-cajun-chickpea-cakes.html?m=1

If it's too crumbly, and it's you're not fussed about it being vegan then add a beaten egg to the mix. I also like some fried green pepper, green chilli and grated cheddar in my bean burgers- mmmmm.

Thanks. They both look great and not too complicated. Will probably add an egg so they don't crumble

this is another easy one from Ainsley Harriott, I find his recipes are usually ver tasty and always simple with ingredients you normally have in the house goodfood.uktv.co.uk/recipe/spicy-bean-burgers/

I like this Jamie Oliver one - [http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/brilliant-veggie-burger/]

Not home made but I actually think the tesco ones are really nice, very convenient and cheap.

Although I do make a mean canilini bean burger/fritter which is a bit different to the normal bean burgers.

Serves 2

1 tin canilini or butter beans, drained and rinsed.
1/2 small red onion diced very finely.
Small bunch of coriander chopped, including stalks chopped very finely.
1/2 teaspoon cumin.
1/2 teaspoon paprika.
Squeeze of lemon probably about 1/2 tablespoon (I normally have lemon juice in the fridge rather than fresh).
1 beaten egg or 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Flour to dust
Oil for frying

Put the beans in a mixing brown and roughly mash. I find it easier to just use my hands and squish them up.
Add all the other ingredients and mix around.
Form into 2 large or 4 smaller fritters.
Dust with flour on each side.
Fry in a generous amount of oil until hit all the way through and crispy on the outside, careful when flipping over as they are quite soft.

This is my recipe, my top tip is to invest in a cheap burger press!

Might be a bit late I think the coriander is quite central - maybe replace with dried coriander if you have it?
