Can't remember what they call it, but will my dc be able to tell the difference? ( they are fussy buggers)

Nay I'm afraid. Not much from there I don't like but I find it very oily and off tasting. There real butter pats are delicious though Smile

mrssmith79 · 07/10/2015 18:22

A nay from me too.

JasperDamerel · 07/10/2015 18:24

Nay. It's not particularly horrible, but it in no way resembles Lurpak.

Orangeanddemons · 07/10/2015 18:25

Nay from me too. The rest of their stuff is fine but this just isn't.

notapizzaeater · 07/10/2015 18:28

Totally agree, DH who will only have lurpak, hated it.

ShelaghTurner · 07/10/2015 18:31

Do any of the supermarket own ones match up to Lurpak or is it really only that? We're confirmed Lurpak lovers and it's bankrupting me!

HelenF35 · 07/10/2015 18:31

I really like it but I use the light one.

BrandNewAndImproved · 07/10/2015 18:32

I like it and I love lurpak.

8dayweek · 07/10/2015 18:35

Nay, agreed the Aldi one is crapola. I think Sainsbury's version might be ok IIRC? And the M&S version is nice but that's £££ too so not particularly helpful

LadyPeterWimsey · 07/10/2015 18:38

We like it. I don't think my family could tell the difference in a blind test.

dingit · 07/10/2015 18:38

Hmm, I think I might have to stick to the real thing.

Nay here too. I've switched to the cheap block butter.

FawnDrench · 07/10/2015 18:57

Agree with all the others. A definite no-no. It was just horrible and I threw it away.
Glad you've decided not to waste your money.

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 08/10/2015 12:36

Do you mean the spreadable stuff?

Haven't tried the Aldi one but the Sainsburys one is rank

I mainly buy supermarket own brands but I think this might be one of those exceptions where the brand is worth it. I try and get it on offer though.

floatyflo · 08/10/2015 12:40

Nay!! But then I think Lurpak is gross too!

MumOfTheMoment · 08/10/2015 12:45

They do this spreadable one too which is v nice.

Aldi lurpak? yay or nay
Gatekeeper · 08/10/2015 12:47

I was brought up on lurpak and I think the aldi and lidl version is fine

IvyWall · 08/10/2015 12:54

lurpak spreadable is 64% butter. I can't remember the detail, but the lidl version is less butter, more oil

SheSparkles · 12/10/2015 05:43

Aldi's version is only about 30% butter solids I think
