Really stupid pizza base / garlic bread question

I have a shop bought pizza base that's been annoying me in the freezer for ages so I have got it out and thought I would turn it into a garlic bread thing to go with the DC's dinner.

But what's the best way to do it?? Just smother in a garlic butter then whack in the oven for 5mins or so? Wasn't sure if it might end up just being dry and toast-like without the benefit of a wet tomato sauce?

If it was hm dough and soft I wouldn't be questioning myself so much but as it's a bit firmer (more like a frisbee!) I thought it might be weird?

Could you grate cheese onto it too? I think it might be a bit dry otherwise.

Ooh good plan - have some grated mozzarella which went out of date on monday and needs using!

When I make garlic bread with pizza dough from my breadmaker I cook the dough first and slather it in melted garlic butter while still warm. I found it did indeed become too dry otherwise.
