... Not lovely juicy ones off my own tree but a large amount of royal galas I got off the market and are horrible.

Anyone have any good recipes so as not to waste them?

Bircher muesli. I love it. Grate all the apples, mix it in with a quantity of oats (not the big ones, the little flaky ones like Quaker) natural yogurt and sultanas. You are looking for a wet mush. Add loads of cinnamon. Leave overnight in the fridge. Eat for breakfast!

I got rid of half a dozen ropey apples like this last week.
