He usually has something like fish pie, special fried rice, lentil bolognese, sausage and mash etc, all with tons of veg, if he's been at home all day, and if he's been to nursery he will just have a snack as he has a cooked lunch ( fish curry, veg stew, cowboy pie, paprika chicken, etc) and then tea (mixed sandwiches, Houmous and pitta bread, and fruit). Any ideas on suppers, or snacks before bed that will fill him up and are 'grab-able' from the fridge, as I also have ds 20 weeks! Thanks v much Smile

I do a proper meal in the evening even if they've had something cooked in the day. Mine don't seem to eat much at lunch time. Also what time do you give "tea"? It may need ot be later?

Alternatively my parents used to give "supper" before bed of weetabix or hot milkk and a biscuit.

Well, we have just cooked his supper together, lentil dhal & rice, with carrots, peppers and sweet corn (random I know, but I let him choose his veg!) and he's tucking into that, which is early but he's hungry. Yes he does have milk before/in bed, but I think you're right, maybe a weetabix at about 6 may help! A banana too, chopped in I suppose?

If he's having his evening meal at 4 no wonder he's hungry! Can you imagine eating at 4?! Can't he eat with you?

We have an "after school snack" at 4 and eat much later. I guess if you gave a snack later it might work out similar.

It's not usually this early, but today it is because he was hungry! Usually supper for him is 5:30, but eating earlier worked much better today; he had a big plate of curry and rice, followed by a weetabix, and then a banana! He has told me he is very full!! Smile
