I have a big old lump of Gammon. Other than slicing and serving with chips and eggs what can I do with it (preferably in a slow cooker as I am lazy busy)

Gammon and green vegetables (eg peas) in a pasta bake

I do mine in the slow cooker with pineapple and orange juice.

Plonk whole gammon in slow cooker, add one litre pineapple juice and half a litre l orange juice (gammon must be covered in juice), 2 tablespoons honey and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Cook on high for 8/9 hours. The first night in serve it with chunky chips and a runny duck egg. Then we have ham sandwiches for lunch then next day and for dinner that night I shred the gammon up and add it to a sweet and sour stir fry with rice.

I cook it in the slow cooker then the first night I'll shred it with homemade bbq sauce serve it on buns with salad and chips. Next night I'll make gammon pie with it. And serve it with veg and maybe new potatoes. Any left overs after that that thrown in soup.

I serve it with the braised creamy cabbage recipe you can find in MN recipes section

I made pease pudding to go with it last week

I'd have it hot with parsley sauce the first night. Then maybe a salad with puy lentils, vinaigrette and wilted spinach. Chopped ham, defrosted peas and creme fraiche over pasta (you might want a bit of pasta water to loosen) is a really nice, quick comforting tea. Needs lots of black pepper though!
