Nacho Cheese Sauce -

Does anyone know where I can buy, or how I can make a cheese sauce not too dissimilar to the one you get with Nachos in the cinema?

Tried the Doritos one and it's too spicy and not as fake tasting ha, only recipe online I can really find is a bechamel base and I don't think that's the type I'm after.

I know, before everyone says, that its plasticky and probably really bad for me - but I'm pregnant and craving it and I want it Smile

DP makes a thin white sauce and then melts into it LOTS of that plastic sliced burger cheese that comes with each slice individually wrapped.... Just as yellow and radioactive looking as the cinema one!

oooo I never thought of using burger cheese, will be trying this tonight.

This recipie from pintresr makes a nice cheese sauce for nachos/chips:

8 ounces of mature cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
2 teaspoons of hot sauce

Add cheese and cornstarch to large bowl. Toss to combine. Transfer to medium saucepan. Add 1 cup evaporated milk and hot sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with whisk until melted, bubbly, and thickened (about 5 minutes). Mixture will look thin and grainy at first but will thicken and come together after heating. Thin to desired consistency with additional evaporated milk. Serve immediately with fries, tortilla chips, burgers, or hot dogs.
