Flapjack recipes

Just made some with my children and was startled by how much butter sugar and treacle we put in. Does anyone have any super easy, healthier recipes please? Should flag fresh fruit is great, I but not a fan of raisins and many dry fruits.

Thanks

What about some savoury ones. They still use as much butter though!

The butter and sugar stick the oats together. If you use eggs, you can get a lower sugar/fat flapjack, but it will be softer.

Hi i use the Netmums one. Sugar, oats, egg, dried fruit (whatever you like) and a drop of honey instead of syrup/treacle :

I use the Deliciously Ella recipe for Date and Oat bars - I'm not her biggest fan but a friend got me hooked on these....

I make Nigella breakfast bars which are held together by condensed milk but no other sugar added. Saying that, I've never checked how much sugar is in condensed milk. She then has oats, mixed nuts and seeds, dried fruit. I vary the ingredients a lot, but as long as I keep the same weight of condensed milk, to oats, to seeds etc it has worked fine.

I'm interested in this. Made some on the weekend & was astounded by the sugar/butter amount. And I like sugar & butter!
