Freeze dried raspberries in cake

DD2 has a birthday tomorrow so while he's at school I want to bake a birthday cake. His favourite flavour for everything is raspberry and white chocolate so that's what I want to make him.

I thought I might combine the cake from Good Food website www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/johns-white-chocolate-raspberry-cake with the frosting from Lorraine Pascal www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/539120/lorraine-pascales-raspberry-vanilla-and-white-chocolate-cake-with-almond-flowers and shove some fresh raspberries on the top. I think he's like the actual cake to have raspberries in it which is why I'm not just using her recipe in entirety.

I was in Sainsbury's and saw a tube of freeze dried raspberries that I bought on impulse. Could I mix some into the cake itself, the icing, both or just avoid like the plague?
