Recipes with beef mince

My lovely ds age 7 has a fairly limited range of foods he likes. His favourite meal is spag bol but hubby and I are sick of eating this. Just hoping for some variations on this theme really...

We do also make chilli which he eats.. Basically he'll eat mince in tomato sauce.

What other ways can we vary this! (btw this is not all he eats, but is by far his most favourite food and therefore probably what we're most likely to have success with when trying to introduce variety)

Mince and tatties

Brilliant ideas thank you. I really appreciate it. Currently heavily pregnant and brain really not working!

He won't touch anything with melted cheese (which does make me wonder if he's actually my son) but I reckon I could get some of these other suggestions into him....

Leave the melted cheese off the lasagne, burritos, and anything that has melted cheese !

Haha yes now you say that it is rather bloody obvious!

I have a great meatball recipe that uses broken up bits of bread (not breadcrumbs) soaked in milk to mix with the bread and help to bind it. No egg. It is from an old "Good Housekeeping" cookbook circa. 1986. Also includes paprika and herbs. Sauce is tinned chopped tomatoes and beef stock. The meatballs "just" hold together when cooking so they melt in your mouth when eating.

You could try a puff pastry top to make a pie but serve with potatoes and veg then he will still get a full meal if he avoids the pastry.

Also lentils are great in mice with tomato sauce, you can barely notice they are there

Have you tried pork or turkey mince? We use these quite a lot for asian-style recipes - something along the lines of

Brilliant ideas. Thank you! Smile funny how easy it is to get so stuck in a rut.
