have I ruined my christmas pudding (again!)

I am making my own and got all the ingredients together and made it according to a lovely recipe and put it in a bowl - then I left it for 2 weeks before steaming it. Don't ask me why I went to so much trouble and then didn't bothered to steam it - had no end of excuses (ran out of tin foil, ran out of string, not at home for long enough to steam it etc.etc.)

Finally got round to steaming it tonight but want to know if you think it is okay.

Not sure - my chrissie pud recipe had 3 eggs in it and personally wouldn't have wanted to leave it. S'pose it depends what your ingredients are.
