Which brand of frozen pizza is the nicest?

I want to buy a job lot for a party at the weekend. I've just done a search on Mumsnet for the answer to this question - the last time it was asked, in 2009, Iceland and Dr Oeteker (sp?!) did well. Are they still good?

Personally I'm going against the grain here, I find Dr Oetker ones horrible, the dough tastes very doughy almost as if it's raw.

Chicago Town ones are nice, sainsburys own brand in the chiller cabinet are nice

Just another vote for asda ones from their counter. Love them!

We tend to make our own but when we don't these are what I but.

Buy!!

I'd try to stretch to the asda ones too I've never had a nice frozen pizz (may say more about my ability to cook from frozen than anything mind you)

surpriseitsme · 26/08/2015 08:00

Asda all the way! Best I've found and can be frozen if needed.

MargaretSchlegel · 26/08/2015 08:07

yy to asda off the counter
i don't normally shop there, but make special trips for pizza

Branleuse · 26/08/2015 17:48

sainsburies counter ones are good too, as good as asda

SuburbanRhonda · 26/08/2015 17:53

shiny

Are you sure you're cooking the Dr Oetker pizzas right?

Just that one of the reasons I like them is that the bases always come out lovely and crispy.

kelda · 26/08/2015 17:56

Dr Oetker pizza bases are crispy but I hate the toppings, far too salty.

iklboo · 26/08/2015 18:22

Another Dr Oetker fan but agree the Asda fresh / create your own ones are lovely.

GladysTheGolem · 26/08/2015 18:23

Sainsvurts do a sweet chilli chicken which I love. It's my go to junk meal!

bogspavin · 26/08/2015 18:25

I like Dr Oetker (especially the largely veggie one - it's with goats cheese I think).

Cannot abide their cake decoration products though (food colourings are awful)

happymummyone · 26/08/2015 18:28

DR Oetker! The funghi one is really nice!!!

MARTIN1 · 26/08/2015 18:37

I have never had one of these Doctor Thingummy pizzas. My to-do list grows ever longer...

SuburbanRhonda · 26/08/2015 18:41

Agree Dr Oetker are very salty, especially the fungi one.

Still like them though Blush

Can I vote for Morrisons counter ones ( ds loves them, and you chose loads of toppings)
