Questions re freezing fishcakes/cooking from frozen

Q1: I've made some fishcakes although haven't done the egg/breadcrumb bit yet. I guess I do that, then freeze them? Rather than freeze them then do the egg/breadcrumb bit when I defrost them?

Q2: Can I fry them straight from frozen, or do I have to defrost first? (Or bake, it's just that frying makes them crispier.)

And another. I went ahead with the egg/breadcrumb thing, what about cooking from frozen?

you can do the egg/ breadcrumb thing and freeze - no problem -
If you want to fry them, then I would probably defrost first but you can bake in the oven from frozen - just don't make the oven too hot.

As per Coolmama...

Thank you both, I think I will try baking when the time comes.
