Kenwood KMix: can I use it to make ice cream?

Has anyone here used a Kenwood KMix to make ice cream? I have just bought a Kenwood KMix stand mixer. It has come with a whisk, dough hook and beater. The motor seems to be quite high torque. However, I note that the Kenwood do a separate ice cream maker with blades that look completely different.

Advice and / or experiences gratefully received :-)

It wouldn't freeze it, surely?

I've got a Kenwood chef and an ice cream attachment for it - there is a plastic bowl, an insert that goes in the freezer first, and then a plastic blade that is quite different to any of the normal attachments: it has two long arms and sort of sits on the bottom on the bowl and rotates. I'm not describing it very well! I think you need that sort of action to churn it properly.
