sausages - 'use immediately'

Just opened a packet of 6 fancy sausages for breakfast. Cooked 2, as I'm all on my lonesome.

Went to put the rest in the fridge and I noticed that the packet says that I have to use them immediately - why?

I want to leave the other 4 for breakfast with DH tomorrow morning.

What will happen if I DON'T use immediately? Confused

You will die immediately.
You will be refused a funeral in consecrated ground and have to wander the earth forever wearing a string of sausages to waft at people Grin

Not really .They should be fine. Sniff them tomorrow to check and make sure they are well cooked. or shove them this way if you're still not sure and I'll snaffle them for you

Wearing a string of sausages for all eternity is not a bad fate I think ninetynintonehundred.
I am a chicken when it comes to playing fast and loose with directions / use by / best befores...
I just need to know why they'd have to be used immediately!

I think the question you should be asking is what does immediately mean .
If they aren't eaten as soon as that is stamped on them are they already bad? Smile

As to why...Why don't you try and let us know .You could be our cautionary tale...
