Any home brewers out there want to brag share tips and tricks? Such as... Wear dark coloured clothes while mashing red fruit you silly sod. My kitchen looks like THAT scene out of Carrie...

Has anybody had any joy making plum wine? I've had a gallon of it in my garage some 2 years, it's still cloudy as fook, tried bentonite twice, still cloudy. What do I have to do to make it drinkable?!?

Hmmm I've got some of that, so you can put it in after it's done can you? I've been using it at the start in my last few batches (never bothered in the past ). Mind you anything is worth a go! And I could do with sorting it as best I can because it's a batch I was asked to make by someone else with their fruit after I went on and on about how good I was at brewing and it's pretty much my only ever failure

I've never thought of adding pectic enzyme as a way of fining a wine but found instructions for using it here, along with how to use other fining agents. 'Tis interesting reading.

I went out last night on my first blackberry picking expedition of the year only to find that many of my usual blackberry bushes (and these had to be the ones that not many people know about!) have been torn up to make way for landscaping and new houses Looks like I'll be looking for some other sites from now on.
