It's made of:
2 cups red lentils
2 cups yellow split peas
1 large carrot (chopped into chunks)
2 large parsnips (chopped into chunks)
3 small onions (finely chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
3 small hot red chillies (finely chopped, seeds included)
1 tbsp hot paprika
1 heaped tbsp vindaloo powder
2 tbsps tomato puree
large pinch cumin seeds
handful chopped fresh coriander
2 large pinches black pepper
All boiled until the pulses are smooth and the carrot/parsnips chunks are melting but not totally disappeared
It is delicious. It's fat-free, salt-free, sugar-free and not bland at all, in fact it is really tasty and warming and satisfying.
How calorific would you expect it to be? Do you think you could gain weight gorging on it?
Cheers
