I bought this for about £6 last week. Not something I'd serve The Queen, but perfectly drinkable- well, I managed 3/4 of a bottle over a long evening !

Their chateauneuf du pape is very nice. No idea how much though but a good friend often buys me a bottle and it's lovely

krisskross · 13/06/2015 23:26

I'll be in on Tuesday... I'll check it out. Thanks both

Their toro loca red is good. Costs about £4.00 ish. It's won a few awards.

guineapig1 · 03/08/2015 16:40

They do a perfectly acceptable gavi for about a £5.

Sharpkat · 14/08/2015 03:00

Where have your Nice! posts just gone Blush

HelenF35 · 14/08/2015 04:42

Toro Loco Tempranillo is amazing. It's £3.79 a bottle (I think) and it's easily one of the best reds I've ever drank.

YY to that Tempranillo.
It really is lovely.

mummytowillow · 25/08/2015 21:28

I think there's one called Freemans Bay Sauvignon Blanc, very nice it is to!

dementedma · 25/08/2015 21:32

Quaffing the Chianti right now. Lovely.

Gileswithachainsaw · 25/08/2015 21:34

I tried a few of the rose wines. wasn't impressed.

can't say about the red white or sparkling though

Ikeameatballs · 25/08/2015 21:37

I like Freemans Bay Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blance. Also have a bottle of their Gavi in the fridge and some Malbec in the wine rack. Also recommend the prose co in the silver wrapper.

OllyBJolly · 25/08/2015 21:48

Had a glass of their Gavi tonight. Nice.

They do a lovely Picpoul de Pinet but our local hasn't had it in for the past few weeks.

Agree on the NZ Sauv Blanc - always have a few bottles of that on the rack.

Tempranillo is passable, as is the NZ Pinot Noir. I like the Carmenere and the Rioja.

Hmmm - think I like them all really!

Try the wotwine? free app. you can either search by store and filter for best value wines or scan the barcode and it will tell you if it is worth the money and any good. They do an amazing Cremant de Jura sparkling at £7.29, as well as the Hunter Valley Semillon, their exquisite collection malbec really over delivers too... also look for the Pata Negra Reserva from Spain.
the app works in all the main supermarkets and all the wines have been rated by professionals...they are even pretty good at responding to requests for recommendations!

Twinkie1 · 13/11/2015 08:40

Their Barolo is supposed to be amazing. (So DH says, I only drink wine with soda or lemonade added as think it's pretty much bleugh).
