I made some gorgeous raspberry & coconut scones today, adapted from BBC good food recipe (needed to make it vegan)

So what nice combinations have you made or had in a trendy coffee shop, I need to impress some friends next weekend.

Something other than fruit or cherry :)

i know you said not cherry, but almond and cherry is lovely

cinnamon and raisin....YUM!

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSE! and chive

blueberry, but you can get that dampish green blue streaking which puts folks off

cranberry and apple....grate a little apple into the mix with the milk

ginger....add ground ginger to the flour and stem ginger instead of sultanas

Mind you, I don;t think you can go far wrong with a well made sultana scone tbh

..I made smartie ones once....the children liked them! With nutella.

Ah lovely, I do like the sound of the ginger one and you are quite right, nothing beats a good fruit scone.

I don't like cherries but cherry and almond sounds good too.

Walnut and Date -( possibly with wholemeal flour?) had them in a teashop, and they were amazing , and it gave me a feeling I was being healthy :)
