How do you freeze a banana?!

I've come across an easy dessert recipe that tells you to freeze a banana then whizz it in a blender. Should I freeze it whole with skin on, or remove the skin and chop/slice it up? Confused

freeze it with the skin on, peels easily when its defrosted.

Remove skin
Chop into bits
Freeze in a bag

Always do this for my morning smoothie!

Remove skin, chop it up, then freeze in a bag

I freeze with the skin on. They're easy to peel with a knife when frozen. very satisfying it is too.

Remove skin, break into three and freeze. I have loads of bags of banana and spinach frozen ready for morning smoothies.

Peeling and breaking/chopping it up first sounds quicker - but I am sure all of you are right! Grin
