Hi
I have offered to make some desserts for a party where there will be about 20 guests . I need to make ahead and they must be easy to transport .
Thinking a cheesecake which keeps well in fridge so can be made will I advance . I think pavlova is great but may go soggy if made ahead?
Any inspirational ideas of your feed a crowd puss would be lost welcome!

You can take pavlova in its constituent parts - so meringue, cream (whipped or not), and fruit all in separate containers, then just assemble at last minute.

A cake or brownies? Chocolate mousse or lemon posset?

Fruit salad, travesty that it is.

Big Tiramisu - nigella baileys one has worked for me for a large number before.

I make this as a tray bake - easier to portion & serve. Can take icing & blueberries to assemble at venue to make it easier to transport. Can substitute with raspberries or do half raspberries, half blueberries. Don't mix too much if using fresh raspberries to avoid crushing fruit. Can use frozen berries for cake but fresh best for topping. I've made this loads! GrinCake

Could you make one that doesn't contain cream as well? Most cold desserts seem to be full of cream and not everyone can have or likes cream.
French apple tart
Brownies
Gateau Pithiviers (a favourite in our house)

Had a big party last year. Went for cheesecake, profiteroles and fresh fruit. Did fruit platters which were v popular. Used all fruit that could be prepped in advance (melons, pineapple, grapes, berries etc) then just layed out last minute
