Want to get a Christmas subscription as a gift, Family Circle has now stopped something along the same lines.

I would luuurve to have Real Simple, but it´s from the States and no international subs allowed....

I love good food - no housekeeping, but recipes are clear, all nutritional info worked out and easy to find. Also all tested.

YOu can get subscriptions delivered to most places as well I think.

I love Delicious magazine. I've only bought it a few times but have used LOADS of recipes from those few copies. I was thinking of asking someone to get me a subscription but I know I would want to keep every copy and my house already has too many magazines that I am hanging onto for one reason or another...

A friend of mine gave me BBC Good Food for a year and I thought it was fantastic - great mix of weekday suppers and smart dinners....

I also love Delicious. I've got a subscription for it and have had since Jan 05. I've used loads of recipes from each mag. and the articles are interesting too.

I like the Waitrose food magazine but appreciate it's no good for a gift. I rather love Good Housekeeping (esp the Christmas one) but it makes me feel like I'm old. Easy Living isn't all house/food - fair amount of fashion/interviews/lifestyle as well, but is quite good.

KTeepee · 10/11/2006 11:23

Here is the Delicious website

BBC Good Food mag.

loomer · 10/11/2006 11:40

Yes, Good Housekeeping is a good mix, but I agree about feeling middle-aged when I read it... it's the one magazine that my mum has always had regularly! Waitrose magazine is beautiful, and some good recipes, but sometimes a little pretentious (well, it IS waitrose, natch!).

I think the Sainsbury's one is fab, and really good value for money (£1.20). Dunno if you get gift subscriptions though.

MrsBadger · 10/11/2006 11:44

(NB top tip - if you get a Waitrose credit card, you get the magazine free, even if you never buy anything else with it)
