Help! Can't get the cheesecake off the bottom of the tin!

I am sure that the emergency is over by now, but what sort of cheesecake was it, baked or not, what sort of pan, did you grease the pan before use, did you line the pan, if you greased, what with? Rather important information on which to base a response.
