I make the same mistake every year letting DD request what she wants for a cake

Cake pops in the shape of microphones, apparently.
So, the handle bit. Thought about using an ice cream cone but needs to be black.
Can anyone suggest how I could make the cone black? Would a black lustre spray work (or would you need so many coats the wafer would disintegrate?)
Could I ice them somehow?
Any other suggestions?
