Can I freeze caramel shortcake?

Planning on making caramel shortcake but wondering if I can freeze it as if I leave it in the cupboard it disappears into DH stomach so quickly.
I was thinking of wrapping in greaseproof paper and cling film but not sure how the chocolate coating would fare.

Yes you can. Unfortunately it probably won't help with the disappearance issue, as often they taste really, really lovely when taken straight from the freezer. Used to work in a bakery and we did white, milk and dark caramel shortcakes. We would freeze any unsold ones for staff snacks. White ones were gorgeous frozen even though they were a bit sickly at room temperature. funnily enough a lot of them ended up in freezer well before end of trading day

Well, made some milk and white chocolate short cakes and I can confirm they are delicious straight from the freezer. Haven't informed DH they can be eaten from the freezer so hopefully they will last a bit longer!
