Storing cakes - help please

I'm currently baking this cake but not icing it until tomorrow night to eat on Tuesday.

How best should I store it tonight and tomorrow after it's iced?

Many thanks in advance.

Wrap the layers in cling film until iced. Once iced, ideally it wants to be somewhere cool but not in a fridge. I often turn a large mixing bowl upside down over a cake plate to make a cover for finished cakes, just to keep dust, cats and children out.

Thans so much Stealth. Sorry to ask stupid questions but when I wrp them in cling film do I just leave them out in the kitchen then overnight? Flowers

Yes - they don't really want to be in the fridge, as it will dry them out. Room temperature is absolutely fine.

Thank you. It's my first time to make it so I'm pretty clueless.

Not stupid questions at all - good luck with the cake.
