What's in your basket this week?

Need breakfasts, lunches and dinners and snacks.

OP posts:

breakfasts: eggs/fruit/porridge/
lunch: squid, salad, prawn stir fry, we tend to eat picky bits - charcuterie meats, humus, salad, lots of roasted tomatoes/peppers. nice cheeses,
dinner: spag bol, aubergine parmigiana, cajun chicken, meatballs, lamb rump, lamb and halloumi/red pepper kebabs, cous cous...
snacks- we eat a lot of popcorn! pitta chips, avocados, lindt dark chocolate...too much of this!

not very inspiring I fear though!!

That is more inspiring than mine! I've just got back from my Tesco shop and it said I saved 1p compared to other shops then added every little helps.

I bought 4 baking potatoes (69p I think!) and tuna
Chicken and almonds (almonds to ground and fry with spices and turn into a chicken curry)
Spinach and fruit (for smoothies as use a Nutribullet)
Lots eggs (pancakes most mornings and sometimes Spanish tortilla)

Have you had chicken Kiev recently, with new potatoes, asparagus and baby corn?

GraysAnalogy · 25/04/2015 20:14

Chopped tomatoes is a must, you can make all sorts with these. Chilli, curry, spag bol, sauces.

Baby new potatoes. Nice boiled or chopped into quarters, drizzled with oil and seasoning and shoved in the oven. Served with green beans and a chicken breast

Snacks I like a grilled pitta bread with a sour cream dip

cdtaylornats · 25/04/2015 20:35

I like a baked potato with the lower fat prawn cocktail

Annabanana1812 · 25/04/2015 21:18

Lunches/dinners: Pancetta cubes, baked potatoes an beans. Pancetta, tortellini and white sauce. Roasted sweet potatoes, chicken and veg. Hummus, sliced chicken and rolls. Pork chops are always a winner here, tescos do 3 for £10 and there is 8 in a pack I always buy two plus either mince and chicken

I did our online shop tonight. Next weeks dinners are...
Jacket potatoes with tuna Mayo
Home beef and mushroom pie
Homemade chicken burgers
Lamb kleftiko
(Left over lamb) with pitta bread & taziki
Pesto pasta
Pan fried lemon sole

Just done my Sainsbo's one.

We're having, in no particular order:

Veggie chilli with rice and guacamole
Pies, wedges and peas for a lazy night
Veggie lasagne and salad
Vege and paneer curry with chapatis and salad
Sausage and mash (Veggie for me and meaty for the carnivores)

Lunches are pretty much the same every day.
I tend to take oatcakes, crudites and cream cheese to work
D2 tends to have a Quorn sarnie, fruit and a cereal bar for school
Dp tends to have some sort of tinned fish (urgh)

Breakfast - toast, yoghurt, porridge, bananas

lastqueenofscotland · 26/04/2015 16:30

breakfasts: granola w yoghurt and fruits, nice toast (seeded/rye/sodabreads etc), eggs, pancakes, muffins, bagels.

lunch/dinner: nothing wrong with a humble jacket spud!! Salads with various cheeses and meats, falafel (super easy to make from scratch too!), ciabatta sandwiches, wraps with spicy veggies and beans is my fav but could have chicken in there if you eat meat (i don't), shepherds pie, lasagne, homemade pesto (so easy!) with pasta, chilli, curry, stew with dumplings, tagine, cous cous salads... LOADS!

snacks i love toasted pitta and hummus, vegetable crisps for something a bit different.
