I have aGeorge Forman 'the next grilleration' - its a big one and I've only had it a few months. I'm not really that impressed with it... it just doesn't seem to get hot enough.

there is no way you could cook a steak on it... it sort of steams the food as opposed to making it brown and crispy so it is one of those gadgets that just sits on the worksurface taking up room....

hulababy · 06/11/2006 21:14

I use mine all the time. I always do my fish in it. Tuna is great on it - akes less than 2 minutes. Yum!

Do fillet steak, lamb chops, chicken breasts, pork, etc on it too.

Have also done grilled veggies such as peppers, courgettes, aubergine, etc.

Our problem is that we really need a biugger one to do everything we need for a meal - but no room for a larger one in kitchen.

helliebean - that definitely doesn't sound right. I can do a fillet steak on ours very quickly - 3 or 4 minutes max for medium rare. It should get very hot.

corrina28 · 09/11/2006 12:55

i cook everything on mine, meats, chicken, waffles, cheese toasties, they only thing that i couldnt cook was eggs

scotlou · 09/11/2006 13:05

WE use ours for grilled chicken (really quick!) beef kebabs, chicken kebabs, grilled veg., toasties, bacon, sausages etc. We have the one with the separate hot plate thing so can also do eggs.

hulababy.... when you cook a steak... do you get brown criss cross marks... is it sort of charred on the outside... or like mine, just a faint cross mark and a bit grey?! Is that 3-4 mins in total?
