Scuzzy food you just love!

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 20:40

For me it's beef super noodles pepped up with a spoonful of bovril for extra beefiness and slapped onto bread & butter for lovely beefy sloppy noodle sarnies!

NOM NOM NOM! Grin

My OH will only allow me to eat this 'scuzzy' dinner, as he calls it, when he's not at home to feel nauseated by me!

What 'scuzzy' food is your guilty pleasure that other people find repugnant?!

Similar to yours.

Chicken and mushroom pot noodle slopped onto buttered white bread.

Filth. Beautiful filth Grin .

WhenTheDragonsCame · 17/04/2015 20:46

Walkers cheese and onion crisps and grated mature cheddar cheese sandwiched together between two slices of buttered white bread.

GraysAnalogy · 17/04/2015 20:50

chicken and mushroom pot noodle butties

cheese and onion crisps sandwiches

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 20:50

@Bunny - I'm feelin' ya sister! Was beef pot noodle for me until I discovered the loveliness of beef super noodles...

Any other flavour, jog on! Only beef cuts the mustard on my sarnies!

PS. OH is working late tonight and have just had my naughty disgusting noodle sarnies... I'm in hogs heaven OINK!

I love a super noodle sandwich. Never tried the extra bovril sounds amazing. I also used to do the chicken ones on toast with cheese on the top under the grill.

As I am from Yorkshire all good meals contain bread, chips and/or gravy Grin

Lasagne sandwich, shepherds cottage pie sandwich. Amazing.

HippyPottyMouth · 17/04/2015 21:05

Fried bread sandwich. Three slices of value white sliced, fry the middle one. Add a fried egg and dollop of chilli pickle.

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 21:11

I'm a Yorkshire lass too! High five! Grin
My southern in-laws find it hilarious that every thing I love is gravy/sauce based as I'm so stereo-typically northern

You must try the added bovril, you'll never look back!

I also like a packet savoury rice (usually chicken or golden veg) enhanced with a chicken or veg oxo cube, then slathered in home-made cheese sauce and spooned into bread & butter...

The ultimate in scuzziness is to finish by sandwiching said meal

You MUST try the bovril, you'll never loom back!

*not sure why my last post repeated itself at the end, sorry about that!

Hippy - that is totally scuzzy! Lol

Fried fish fingers on thick white bread with dollops of mayonnaise.

Processed cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches.

Mayonnaise straight out the jar. Bit of a theme here!

MrsEvadneCake · 17/04/2015 21:23

Chow mein pot noodle butties. Even better with chip shop chips too! Grin

DarylDixonsDarlin · 17/04/2015 21:28

Ha I had super noodles for tea, bacon flavour. They are repeating on me now, the little bastards! Hmm

Dirty food wise, I like bacon grill (tinned sliceable mushy pink meat, as the name suggests you lightly grill it) on white thickly.buttered bread. Grin

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 21:34

Bacon grill... not had that for years! God I loved that covered in baked beans

OH is a majorly irritating food snob and refuses to have tinned meat of any kind in the house, because "it's not the f**kin' war any more!" apparently, lol.

He doesn't know about the corned beef I hide at the back of the cupboard

Big Mac

Can't help it. I just love them. I haven't had one since I realised that the problem I've had all these years is glutenSad. I know there are lots of GF alternatives, but none of them involves an actual, proper Big Mac.

Gruntbaby · 17/04/2015 21:43

Cheese and onion pasties microwaved.

Chip butties on white processed bread.

I also have occasional dreams of potato waffles and those cheesy pasta n'sauce packets. Haven't eaten either since I was a kid.

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 22:01

Oh yeah, waffles! Love waffles with melted cheddar and coleslaw YUM-MY!

Or potato croquettes with a bowl of thick beef gravy, made with bovril for a hearty full-bodied flavour, to dip em in

OH thinks I just buy the frozen potato products as weekend treats for the kids... but they're also me, teehee

The glow in the dark orangeness that is Kraft cheesy pasta. I cook the whole box, serves 2 to 3, my arse and scoff it from a bowl with a spoon.

RedDwarfPosse · 17/04/2015 23:05

I've never seen Kraft cheesy pasta, sounds yuck! Lol... but I have to say I despise that plastic cheese crap. Or cheese in a tube. Cheese sticks. Cheese triangles. And wtf is that cheese shit you squirt out of an aerosol can!

This is where I suddenly abandon my scuzziness and turn into a cheese snob Grin

Salad cream and pickled onion butties- bloody marvellous

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 17/04/2015 23:14

Chicken supernoodles with sliced, fried tinned potatoes and lots of pepper.

KillmeNow · 17/04/2015 23:26

My tea was left over jasmine rice with half a tub of reduced price asda coleslaw with 2 boiled eggs and grated mature cheese over the lot. Lovely.

I must remember that for next time I have left over rice and coleslaw.

cruikshank · 17/04/2015 23:36

Lots of these sound absolutely delicious, although I have to say that since they took the e-numbers out of pot noodle it is just Not The Same Any More. Forch there are still those 4 for £1 packets in the local grocer's for full msg overload.

I recently made a new scuzzy food discovery - Sainsbury's bacon hash brown mini waffles. I can't believe there has been so little fanfare about this addition to the frozen food aisle. V nice with a fried egg spread over four of them and cheese grated on top of the lot.

fattymcfatfat · 17/04/2015 23:46

fried egg and plastic cheese on toast... heaven.

RedDwarfPosse · 18/04/2015 08:55

Cruick - I love Love LOVE hash browns... In fact I have major food crush on all things potato based! Especially if accompanied with a beef gravy!

I will now be making a trip to sainsbury's on a hunting expedition for the aforementioned bacon hash brown waffles! Thank you in advance for more disgusting gluttonous bad-health-inducing scuzziness that my OH will not appreciate Smile

PS another one my OH finds repulsive I'd on pancake day I will only ever have my pancakes rolled with thick gravy... lemon and sugar PAH! that's for fairies. Get some gravy on it man!

OP posts:
RedDwarfPosse · 18/04/2015 08:58

PS Excitedforxmas - salad cream and pickled onion butties... oh think I'm gonna vom! Why would ruin the beautiful pickled onion with the cream of the devil??? YACK!
