My Eldest Not Eating Fruit and Veg

I have always tried to get my two boys farmiliar with fruit and veg from an early age and usually they love it. But over the last two weeks my eldest will not touch a piece of fruit or veg. Followed by a Massive tantrum :(

I have been looking for some ways to get over this little blip and found some advice here

and

www.parents.com/kids/nutrition/healthy-eating/get-your-kids-to-eat-better/

Has anyone else had this type of problem? If so, what did you do to get them eating their greens?

What do you do when he refuses? Can you add veg to foods such as spag Bol and shepherds pie? Will he eat soup or things like crumble?

I mash cauliflower into mashed potato, my eldest (12) eats it, not realising there is cauli in it. When I had time to make my own burgers, I put chopped Apple into it. My fruit hating DS(8) would eat that. Will he eat fruit flavoured things? My 8yr old doesn't even like sweets, squash or lollies as he finds fruit so detestable.
