Great idea - we did this and it was a godsend.

A few tips - if you are breastfeeding your baby, you may not want to eat anything too garlicky or spicy (some babies don't like the taste of breastmilk after strong flavour meals).

Some ideas:

  1. Soups - Tomato and lentil, leek and potato
  2. Stews
  3. Cook a large gammon and parcel up the sliced meat into meal-sized portions - dead easy to do a quick jacket potato and a few veggies, or a big salad to go with it (no cooking required!)
  4. Bolognaise, and similar
  5. Freeze some bread and milk so you always have the essentials in and don't need to go out every day
  6. Make some cakes that freeze well in order to have a healthy treat now and again, and something for your visitors to munch on while they admire your beautiful baby . How about loaf cakes, muffins - they freeze well

Personally I would avoid takeaways when you are recovering from birth/and are breastfeeding - you need healthy nutritious food and lots of fruit and veg

Good luck with your baby
