Can I freeze a "damp" cake?

A friend has made me an amazing apple cake. It's a damp cake ie slightly wet, from the fruit not because it's undercooked.

My dh is away for the week and much as I would like to, I don't think I can eat the whole thing by myself. Do you think k it would freeze? It doesn't have icing..

Yes, I don't see why not.

Might come out even damper but that's not a bad thing IMO!
