Anyone cooking shoulder of lamb tomorrow ?

I've got family coming round for lunch & have a small joint of bone in 1/2 shoulder of lamb.

I'm thinking of cooking in slow cooker but will need to get up at 4am.

Just wondered if anyone has tried & tested fall off the bone recipes to share ?

yes :) - not a slow cooker one though.
I have just bought shoulder of lamb for Sunday so I can do this - you can leave off the mint and pomegranate and its still amazing

Thanks - I've cooked a sticky pomegranate lamb dish before & it was delicious.

I'm using my slow cooker to free up oven space & hoping that the fat will melt & the meat will shred. It's going to take 9hrs apparently ! Hmm

If you use a timer switch, you won't have to get up early.

Probably will do! the Nigella one is overnight to eat at lunch next day!

Oxford put slow cooker on high for first 3 hours (I think of this as 6 on low) then 3 on low so 9 down to 6

Thanks - read to late so was up at 4.30am Shock

Lamb was delicious though, brown it off, sliced & sauté onions/garlic & add to slow cooker with 259ml balsamic vinegar, stock cube & boiling water.

Aye about 1.39pm & fell off the bone & gravy delicious too - what a relief !

Too late for you this time but I made this last year and am planning on making it again Sunday. It's delicious-
