We have 10 adults and 10 kids coming on Easter monday. This is what I plan to offer:

chilli
sausage casserole and some plain sausages
jacket spuds
french bread
pizzas (for kids)
crudite
dips

What do you think?

Good idea lucked. Might give them a call and see what they would prefer.

It needs a bit of salad/greens to compliment the meal.

Tomato Garlic Salad
Green Salad
Grilled courgette with lemon

I wouldn't do sausage casserole for a party.

pippop1 · 29/03/2015 19:18

Bowl of tuna mayo to go on the jacket potatoes?

usualsuspect333 · 29/03/2015 19:35

I'd skip the sausage casserole and make sure there were fillings for the jacket spuds.

DoItTooJulia · 29/03/2015 19:37

How about devilled sausages instead of casserole? Sounds yum!

cdtaylornats · 29/03/2015 20:06

Some falafel and pitta for them and the chilli.
Nachos with cheese

SconessMcFloness · 29/03/2015 20:08

I'd do hotdogs instead of pizza.

So just chilli, spuds, coleslaw, cheese, sour cream, hotdogs and some salad.

MrsPnut · 29/03/2015 20:09

I'd skip the sausage casserole too, the plain sausages would be fine along with some baked beans.

I adore sausages, JP, baked beans, cheese and coleslaw.

ClashCityRocker · 29/03/2015 20:13

Sounds good to me.

IF I was being ultra-critical, I would scrap the sausage casserole and just do a joint of ham sliced up, which would be nice with salad and coslaw.

But I would be totally happy with your original plan!

Pantah630 · 29/03/2015 20:16

Some guacamole (homemade is much, much better than the mush you buy in the shops and really easy to make), sour cream, grated cheese and tortilla chips to go with the chilli rather than rice. Forget about the sausage casserole, I'd do sausages, beans, jackets for the fussy ones with a big salad, plenty of cheese and coleslaw.

Pantah630 · 29/03/2015 20:18

I wouldn't bother with pizza either, all for making life easier :)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/03/2015 20:18

Neither the DCs or I would eat sausage casserole. My DS would massively prefer pizza to hotdogs too, he doesn't like sausages at all. I'd just do pizza, chilli, all the other bits, lots of salad and tortilla chips.
