Our little family has been gluten free for over 5 years now. We have never had trouble getting our youngest to eat the foods me and my husband eat. However, recently he doesn't seem to be enjoying his food like he used to.

I think one of the main reasons for this is that, the meal we are preparing are a bit samey. I need a bit of inspiration for creating exciting meals.

I have searched around and found a few good recipes that we are going to try out next week.

Has any got any others that they have tried, which are reasonably quick to prepare? Smile

Surely most home-cooked-from-scratch meals are gluten free unless they specifically involve pasta etc.

How about

stir fry with rice noodles and chicken
baked salmon with pesto or ginger soy etc with rice/quinoa and veg
veggie burgers made with eg kidney beans and grated carrot
curry if he likes it?
jacket potatoes including sweet potatoes with tuna/chilli/feta and beetroot

Not sure if you just want GF meals or 'baby' food.

I was mainly looking for baby food ideas, but that baked salmon sounds delish Smile

Hello! I am coeliac and cook most of the meals my DH and DD aged 2 eat as gluten free! My dad and sisters also are coeliacs, so growing up my mum also cooked gluten free!

My DD especially loves these gluten free meals -

  • gluten free gnocchi - easy to cook and can change up the sauces to go with it. I get my gf gnocchi from ocado.
  • homemade gf pizza, I use the juvela White flour. You can freeze the dough in little toddler sized potions before proving and get out when needed.
  • toad in the hole, I use I recipe which my mum perfected over the years using cornflour and gf flour. My tot loves gf sausages in particular a brand called "good little company" which are aimed at little ones.

Most of the dishes I make, I cook from scratch and just adapt the recipe to make gluten free - cornflour is a godsend!!!! Grin
