Turning a 20cm carrot cake into six carrot cup cakes - urgent

I'm practicing DH's birthday cake today but I want to make cup cakes rather than a full cake. (There must be no trace of the cake by 6:30pm tonight!)

My recipe is for a 20cm cake that serves 10/12 and needs to be cooked on gas Mark 3 for 20/25 mins

I want about six cupcakes so do I halve the quantities? What do I do about cooking time?

Thanks!

If your 20cm quantity will serve 10/12 then about half should make 6 cupcakes. Just do half the mix and fill the cupcakes ? full.

Re cooking - about 15 mins till feels firm to the touch and a skewer comes out clean

If it's a trial the tin size will be important: make the cake then cut into 9 squares or 18 rectangles and call it traybake.

Okay, thanks all.

I'm feeling brave. I can do this ??
