Feeding a 7yr old boy

7yr old is always wanting more food and at the moment I'm relying on toast or bananas as extra food snacks between meals. I've run out of ideas! He has 3 good meals each day but always asks for more food.
Any ideas?

Yogurts, fruit loaf, cereal bars, different fruit items, smoothies?

I agree with Dancing. Boys seem to go through a growth spurt at 7 and my DS often ate so much at mealtimes that he had to go for a lie down afterwards!

Try to limit the sugar and offer things like crumpets or toast with nut butter, cheese straws, savoury muffins, raw carrot, hummus and raw veg. The cheese straws and savoury muffins are both easy to make and he might enjoy baking them plus they will both keep in an airtight container and freeze well too Smile

Have you managed to fill him yet? Smile

I give my 7yo 9bars - they seem to be seeded bars with a chocolate topping and look fairy healthy to me. Also apples and popcorn. But I'm quite strict on the snack front - I try to ban them between meals unless e.g. he's got swimming and so tea will be late.

Give 9bars a go though - I'm quite impressed by them.
