I didn't believe any of you, atall!
But I did it, out of one £4.35 whole chicken I got - a roast, a curry, a chicken pasta bake and sandwiches for one days lunch
For me DP, DS (5) & DD (3)
MN I am seriously impressed, what's the most meals anyone's got out of a chicken? Should we have some sort of a prize?

That plus a soup!

It's much easier with two little ones. There is no way I could feed dh and I, a 17 yr old, a 14 yr old and an 8 yr old who loves chicken for more than one meal plus a curry for one.

Wow, I could never do this with even just DP and I eating it! I am impressed.

The problem for me would be the roast. DP LOVES a roast chicken and it seems so mean to hide it in the kitchen and only serve up certain bits, denying the pleasure of putting it on the dining table and us carving off the bits we want for second helpings... it somehow goes against the spirit of a roast chicken...

But I will try this if and when we really need to watch the pennies, as I would be able to justify it then.
