How old are they?

Have you done any baking before?

Perhaps start with stuff that doesn't need cooking. Chocolate rice crispie buns for example. Then move on to flapjacks. Bread - with an 'all in' bread mix. Then maybe shortbread.

If they're young have a look at the cbeebies I Can Cook page for ideas.

Basic fairy cakes are 4, 4, 4, 2 so easy to remember -

4oz flour (SR)
4oz butter
4oz sugar
2 eggs

Mix all together, put in fairy cases, cook on 200 for approx 12 mins

If the OP isn't a baker she probably hasn't got a processor or mixer. In which case just 'mix all together' has the potential to go very wrong and she'll end up with sunk and rubbery cakes.

This Cheesecake is easy and looks impressive, you can decorate with fruit uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/514277

That's true missus!

Right, mix the butter and the sugar together. Then add the egg. Then add the flour. Then put it in the cases!

Try this OP - looks yum!
