Just that really. Want it to be easy obviously and mostly make ahead, don't wsnt to be plating up carefully individual pan fried lemon sole. And casual, may end up having people perching and in garden etc rather than properly seated.

Keep it really simple.

Huge cheese board, nice bread, crackers, grapes etc.

Or a couple of slowcookers - a chilli, a curry, something veggie, rice or jacket potatoes, bowls of salad, lots of nice bread. Even easier = just a veggie chilli and a meat chilli, or just 2 or 3 different curries, rather than mixing cultures!

Or some quiches, bread, salad, big pan of garlic roasted new potatoes, coleslaw.

Just about to say the same a meat chilli and a veggie chilli. Lots of crusty bread, green salads and a nice cheese board.

Yep, chilli or curry.

One lemon tart, one chocolate cake.
Buy the dark, bake the cake.

Looks like chilli is a winner!

Pud -

ice cream and Maltesers/Smarties for kids
icecream and coffee or with salted caramel sauce for the adults
or icecream and a couple of bought tarts

Some baked potatoes and a big bowl of homemade coleslaw with the chilli.
A couple of tray bakes for pudding. Pavlova is easy. Lemon/choc or orange cake easy too serve with cream or ice cream.
