pork chops in the slow cooker?

I want to make pork chops in the slow cooker, just something basic like pork chops with gravy, green beans and some mash. Fussy DC

Do I just brown them, put them in the slow cooker with the green beans and some stock then add some bisto at the end to thicken it up? Or can I just make the stock thicker when I put it in?

Also if I make mash tonight can I put it in the fridge until tomorrow?

Brown your pork chops, and stick them in SC with half a cup of stock, and leave them 2 hrs max, when your ready to scoff them, stir in a little bit of mustard. They seem to loose flavour IMO if you leave them too long. . Don't add Bisto, they'll yield some juice and be lovely with mash. Do your spuds and green beans separate.

Oh and yes it's defo' fine to leave mash in fridge for well over a week if you cover it up.

I couldn't do them for just the two hours because I was in work all day, I needed something to be ready when we got in.

I stuck peas, green beans and broccolli in the bottom with some stock, browned the chops and put them on top of the veg so not fully in the stock. They were nice, nothing amazing but passable for a Monday night dinner.

Oh and I called for chippy chips to go with it Grin
