If a cake recipe calls for rice flour can I use ordinary plain flour?

Obviously it won't be gluten free, which is what the recipe is aiming for but I don't need gluten free, just a nice cake for tea.

I would have thought so, I use rice flour and plain flour interchangeably (DH is gluten free). I normally add a bit more liquid if I'm cooking with rice flour so I guess if I was going the other way then I'd use a little bit less liquid. I've not tried it though so might be wrong!
