Tinned tuna: inspire me!

What can I do with tinned tuna - apart from the obligatory tuna pasta bake or some other tomato/pasta pairing? Oh, I know that there is also salad niçoise, but not at this time of year.

Please tell me some other recipes. I'm going out to work now but expect to come home to lots of lovely suggestions. Pretty please.

Tuna Fish Cakes. Mix with some freshly mashed potato, chopped spring onions, a few chilli flakes, seasoning and then form into patties, coat with breadcrumbs and shallow fry until golden. Serve with sweet chilli sauce and stir fried green vegetables.

Tinned mackerel is nicer and a LOT cheaper than tuna! And is lovely mashed on toast, with black pepper, or flaked into rice, or broken into salads.

Mix in a couple of spoons of horseradish, season, then roll out a block of puff pastry, spread the tuna onto half of the pastry, fold the other half back over to make a lid, crimp and seal, wash with egg or milk, pop in the oven at 180°C until golden brown. Delicious hot or cold.

We love this tuna and bean salad. It's a lovely summery dish but also works well with a baked potato or wedges in cooler weather.

We are having tinned tuna tonight.

Gnocchi, cream, tuna, green olives, tomatoes, all mixed together, sprinkled with cheese and baked.

Yes, it is a bit like a tuna pasta bake, but different enough.

Another pasta one (sorry)-

Mix tuna with pesto and halved cherry tomatoes, heat through gently and add to pasta.

V popular in the Shodan household!
