Lamb chops and ... ?

Just me at home tonight (yay!) and I am making griddled lamb chops.

I'm having green salad with a french mustardy dressing and a couple of big grilled tomatoes.

What would you have with lamb chops?

I might do couscous or rice or salad or new pots and veg or even if feeling naughty have some oven chips and salad with them (including your big grilled toms - yummmm).

But it's been ages since we had lamb chops, must visit the butcher this week..

I do think cous cous goes brilliantly with lamb. Somehow I never seem to make it as interesting as other people manage to.

Mine never tastes as wonderful as I think it is going to in my head.

Our butcher marinades them in a minty sauce thing and that helps flavour the couscous..

Usually cous cous or bulgar wheat with lamb chops here.

Roast veg goes well.

Chips!

One big potato cut into chips, spray oil, salt and pepper, high temp for 20 mins.

Cous Cous and roasted veg. I cheat and buy the Ainsley Spice Sensation cous cous which everyone here loves.

Maple mashed potato and steamed veggies - usually cauli, broccoli and carrots.

Last time we had them I did Greek salad and sweet potato fries.

Potatoes roasted in olive oil and garlic.

Greek salad or roast veg.

Marinated in red wine vinegar, garlic, lemon juice and oregano, served with Greek salad with the cooked marinade poured over. Or with a spinach and lemon pilaf.

Cous cous, maybe with some roasted veg stirred in to it and a geek salad.
I love lamb, it's my favourite meat.

I like to marinade them in yoghurt, lemon juice, garlic and mint. Serve with rice and roasted veg and definitely an aubergine if it's in season.

Minty pea puree, might mix in some mashed potato, if I was having company but pea puree is so quickly and simple.

Marinade in curry paste, then grill, add chips and a side salad.

Saute potatoes, roast, skinned peppers and a rocket salad in balsamic dressing. Yum.
