Freezing ingredients for use in slow cooker

I have recently bought a crock pot/slow cooker. There is loads of youtube videos (from America) of preparing all the uncooked ingredients into freezer bags and am thinking of trying this. Does anyone else do this? I love the time and money saving potential of doing this. Do you need to defrost the ingredient before putting into the slow cooker first?

Look on Pinterest as well, there are loads of recipes to do that.

Yes you do need to defrost before putting it in.

You do need to defrost in the fridge overnight but it is still a great time saver.

I'm marking my place incase someone comes along with some recipes, mine are all the normal spag Bol and stew.

Pinterest is a good source of freezer meals, just put crockpot freezer meals into the search bar. Here's a link to some recipes
