Slow cooker that you can also brown in

I'm thinking of getting a new slow cooker as mine is small, but also because it is a rice cooker and I quite often want to have rice with whatever is cooking in the slow cooker, so it's a bit of a faff logistically. I know you can brown things in them these days - does this work well?

So, new slow cookers - which ones are good?

I have a Morphy Richards intellichef multicooker which can slow cook, steam, fry, braise, stir-fry, boil, grill and stew. And I like it - mostly I brown meat in it then add the other ingredients and slow cook. It works well and its 1 less pot to clean.

I have a Sage (heston blumenthal) multi cooker which sounds similar - it browns, steams, cooks rice and risotto, and has low/hig slow cook functions. I'm still getting used to it as never slow cooked before but it seems v good and makes fab risotto!
