Want to buy a gift for a German friend who is missing his Jäger as we can't buy it in Chile. I am currently in the UK but never having tried it I don't know what to buy or what to avoid.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Jaegermeister is the brand name.

Are there not different brands? I really know nothing more than the name, sorry.

I'd stick to jäger.

I don't think there is really An alternative - there are other shots, aftershocks dtc, but only jäger tastes like jäger.

Supermarkets do their own versions but they aren't as good. Definitely buy the branded stuff.
