What can I do with a whole chicken in a slow cooker?

Preferably an all in one meal? Am new to slow cooking, no idea if it's even possible!

Well you can roast the chicken whole, just pop it in the sc, no liquid and leave for several hours.

You could pot roast it - i've not done it with chicken but have with joints - put the meat in the centre and pack as many potatoes, carrots, onions whatever around it as you can, put in a stock cube and pour boiling water over it.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up pot roasting in a normal oven as I was a bit worried about having undercooked chicken with the slow cooker!

To avoid under cooking I x3 usual roasting times on large joints of meat after an initial 45 blast on high.

Slow cookers do heat food to cooking temps ... just slowly!

As long as you use the high setting chicken is fine in a sc
